SMARTSENS Security 5MPDSI-2 Image Sensor Pro Can Withstand High Temperature

Recently, SMARTSENS, a technologically advanced CMOS image sensor supplier, officially roll out the industry's first new Pro series security application image sensor SC5336P with full performance upgrade of 5MPDSI-2 technology. The new product has 3K clear image quality, which is not only another masterpiece of the full-performance upgrade Pro series of Steve Security applications, but also the industry's first 3K-level image sensor equipped with DSI-2 technology.

SC5336P is equipped with SFCPixel ® patented technology and ultra-low noise peripheral reading circuit technology, which has excellent performance in night vision full color and noise control, and improves the imaging quality of products at high temperature through process upgrading and optimization, pursuit to empower the intelligent development of security simulation monitoring applications with Pro-level imaging performance.

The industry's first 5-Mega Pixels DSI-2 technology image sensor presents a clear 3K16:9 field of view. Following the transition from standard definition to high definition, the improvement in resolution for security cameras has become an inevitable trend. Looking at the current mainstream security market, both 2K and 3K can adapt to 1/2. 7lens, and can be compatible on the main control chip, while 4K resolution data transmission will bring higher bandwidth configuration cost, which accelerates the rapid development trend of 3K HD security applications.

As early as 2021, Steve took the lead in launching the first batch of 5MP image sensor products in the industry, which was recognized and praised by both the market and customers. The SC5336P launched this time is another excellent work to upgrade the imaging performance again. As the industry's first 5 million 3K image sensor product equipped with DSI-2 technology, SC5336P adopts 16: 9 wide format, which can show 3K excellent image quality with higher definition than 2K video, and help analog monitoring applications obtain higher definition and richer image information.

SC5336P is based on Steve's upgraded DSI-2 technology, and is built with advanced 12-inch wafer technology. And equipped with SMARTSENS innovative SFCPixel ® patented technology and ultra-low noise peripheral reading circuit technology, which can achieve dark light imaging performance far exceeding FSI process image sensor of the same specification, and can rival or even surpass BSI process image sensor of the same specification in high temperature imaging.

SMARTSENS SC5336P reduces the STI area between photodiodes by optimizing the process, which can effectively suppress the generation of white spots and dark currents, and greatly improve the uniformity of image quality at high temperature. Compared with BSI products of the same specification in the industry, its DSNU is greatly reduced by 64%, and its white spots are reduced by 25%, which can eliminate the purple edge phenomenon caused by high temperature, which make the camera output high-quality images even in high temperature environment.

In addition, compared with BSI products of the same specification in the industry, the absolute value of electrical Blooming of SC5336P is reduced by 55%, which can improve the overflow phenomenon that the camera is easy to produce when shooting lights in backlighting scenes and at night. At the same time, SC5336P can also support dynamic row overlapping HDR (StaggeredHDR) image output, and the dynamic range can be increased to more than 100dB.

The security industry is developing rapidly in the direction of intelligence and high definition, and SMARTSENS always keeps pace with the increasing needs of customers, even ahead of customer needs. SC5336P, a new Pro series image sensor with full performance upgrade for security analog monitoring applications, is the first 5 million 3K image sensor product equipped with DSI-2 technology in the industry, which not only has excellent night vision full-color imaging performance, but also greatly improves the imaging quality of the product at high temperature. So far, the resolution coverage of SMARTSENS Pro series products has been expanded to 5MP. In the future, Steve will launch more security applications with excellent performance, and strive to empower security applications with better imaging quality.
