SKYLAB Chairman Yang Yonghui: Branding is the Fundamental for Enterprise Survival

Recently, Yang Yonghui, Chairman of Shenzhen Skylab M&C Technology Co., Ltd. (SKYLAB), stated in an interview with our website, "Branding is the fundamental for the survival of a company. Since the establishment of SKYLAB in 2006, I have seen many peers rise and fall. Some entrepreneurs only see a certain advantage and start their own entrepreneurial path, which ultimately leads to failure. Therefore, besides research and development capabilities or sales abilities, branding is the most crucial element for a company to achieve long-lasting success."

It is reported that SKYLAB, established in 2006, is a high-tech enterprise specializing in the research and application of wireless products such as GNSS, WiFi, Bluetooth, and UWB. The company is headquartered in Shenzhen and has sales points in multiple cities in China and worldwide. The company's goal is to provide high-quality, high-performance wireless modules and application solutions to domestic and international OEM/ODM customers and system integrator, dedicated to creating long-term value and potential growth for customers.

Since its establishment, the company has accumulated rich experience in software and hardware development. Currently, it can provide the market with a complete series of industrial-grade, high-quality GPS, BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS), GLONASS, GALILEO, and other positioning modules. It also conducts secondary development applications based on module cores to provide customers with low-cost wireless product solutions and reduce overall costs. Chairman Yang mentioned that the company will soon launch automotive-grade wireless module products, which can integrate GPS, BDS, GLONASS, and GALILEO into a single four-in-one GNSS navigation positioning module. Customers can flexibly adjust the navigation technology through software.

In addition, SKYLAB has also introduced UWB (Ultra-Wideband) modules that enable precise indoor positioning. With the integration of UWB chips into Apple iPhone 11 and high-end smartphones from Samsung, the UWB application market has become increasingly popular. In the early stages, UWB was mainly used for high-precision positioning in the industrial sector, such as in coal mines, tunnels, and nursing homes, to ensure the safety of workers by relying on UWB base stations and positioning tags, such as badges or wristbands worn by workers. In recent years, it has gradually gained popularity in the consumer market, particularly for precise positioning and anti-loss of personal belongings within line-of-sight or non-line-of-sight range.

In the field of electric vehicles, UWB digital keys are also becoming a killer application, as UWB's security features make it more suitable for vehicle security requirements. NIO equipped its ET7, released in 2021, with UWB digital keys, and other automakers such as BMW, Audi, Ford, Volkswagen, and Honda have also announced their collaboration with smartphone manufacturers to launch a new generation of digital car keys based on UWB technology. Automotive component supplier HELLA has officially launched an intelligent car key using UWB and plans to achieve mass production within two years.

Since its establishment, SKYLAB has accumulated 17 years of technological expertise and continues to grow and develop. Throughout its development, the company has adhered to the values of "unlimited innovation, customer achievement, quality first, and integrity". SKYLAB constantly explores cutting-edge technologies in the industry, conducts market research to understand customer needs, and aligns its product strategy accordingly. The company invests in various innovative projects and consistently motivates its research and development team. These partnerships ensure the stability of the supply chain and keep the company at the forefront of industry technology.

Furthermore, SKYLAB has obtained ISO-9001 quality management system and IATF-16949 automotive industry quality standard certifications. From product design to manufacturing and programming testing, every step is strictly controlled. This focus on quality not only significantly reduces customers' quality costs but also enhances the company's brand reputation and market trust. SKYLAB operates in a transparent and ethical manner, fostering a climate of mutual trust with stakeholders.
