The current global FPGA market is dominated by two companies, namely Xilinx (now acquired by AMD) and Intel (which includes the former Altera brand). These two companies, with their longstanding market presence and patent accumulation, hold significant leadership positions in the global FPGA market, with a combined market share of over 80%. This market pattern reflects the Matthew effect in the industry, where the strong get stronger, setting a high threshold for new entrants.

Domestic FPGA manufacturers include Fudan Microelectronics, Ziguang Tongchuang, and Anlu Technology, which have a relatively small share of the domestic market, indicating that the domestic market has an urgent need for substitution of domestically produced FPGAs.

Despite the challenges, Chinese FPGA companies are striving to improve their competitiveness through continuous technological innovation and market expansion. With the country's emphasis on and support for the semiconductor industry, as well as the growth of domestic market demand, domestic FPGA vendors are expected to achieve greater breakthroughs and development in the future.
