In this project, the robot driven by GR00T can understand natural language and imitate actions by observing human behavior, showing skills such as rapid learning, coordination and flexibility.
Huang Renxun called this project the "next trend" of artificial intelligence and robotics, and said that building basic models in the field of artificial robots is one of the most exciting problems in the field of artificial intelligence today. GR00T is a basic model, which needs model training on NVIDIA DGX and real-time reinforcement learning on OVX. This workload involves iterative generation and training of models in a loop. OSMO can manage and schedule the workload in distributed environment, and realize seamless coordination between DGX and OVX systems, thus realizing efficient and iterative model development.
In addition to the GR00T project, Nvidia company also released a humanoid robot based on the new computer Jetson Thor, which has GenAI function as part of Nvidia company’s artificial intelligence-driven robot program.
