According to reports, grid operators TERRA-GEN and MORTENSON announced that they have launched Edwards & Sanborn Solar + Energy Storage Project, which is currently the largest solar + energy storage project in the United States. The project includes an 875MW solar farm and a battery energy storage system of nearly 3.3 GWh, supported by LG CHEM, SAMSUNG and BYD.

On January 15th, the energy storage power station project of Nangang officially realized 72-hour full-capacity grid-connected operation with the installed capacity of 61MW/123MWh. This is not only the user-side energy storage project with the largest single capacity in China, but also the largest industrial and commercial energy storage project with advanced series energy storage system in China. The project adopts the leading series energy storage system in China, and uses the energy storage module of 200kW/402kWh liquid cooling system, including 17 phalanx and 306 products in total, which improves the safety and efficiency of the system.

On January 18th, the 5MW/10MWh "Cloud Energy Storage" project of Sanxia Energy Yicheng District officially started in Gushao Town, Zaozhuang City. As the first "cloud energy storage" project in China, which aggregates 5 MW and participates in electricity market transactions, the total investment of this project is 40 million yuan, aiming at promoting industrial development by investing in new energy power stations and helping Zaozhuang become the "lithium battery capital of the north".

On January 3rd, Baotang Power Grid Side Independent Battery Energy Storage Station, the first lithium battery energy storage station integrating nine technical routes in China, was officially put into operation in Foshan, Guangdong. The installed capacity of this energy storage power station is 300MW/600MWh, accounting for one-fifth of the total new energy storage in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, and it is also the largest independent energy storage power station on the grid side built at one time in China. Project participants include Southern Power Grid Energy Storage, China Energy Construction Guangdong Institute, SIFANG Automation Co., Ltd., Southern Power Grid Energy Storage Research Institute, XJ Electric, EAST Group, PEARL Electric, HITHIUM Energy Storage, etc.

. Xinjiang's largest new energy supporting electrochemical energy storage power station was put into operation

On January 14th, Altay 200,000 kW/800,000 kWh (equipped with 800,000 kWh new energy) energy storage power station, the largest new energy supporting electrochemical energy storage power station in Xinjiang, was successfully connected to the grid for power transmission. The project adopts lithium iron phosphate battery with a total capacity of 800,000 kWh, which is implemented in two sections and is implemented by Altay Jinyuan Energy Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of State Power Investment Corporation Limited.

The energy storage power station in Jiangbei New District, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province was officially connected to the grid and put into operation on January 15th. This project is invested and constructed by PINGGAO Group, with a construction scale of 110.88 MW/193.6 MWh, which is the largest electrochemical energy storage power station in Nanjing. The project consists of 88 prefabricated cabin energy storage batteries, 176 630kW energy storage converters (PCS), 44 2800kVA boost transformers (with case), 44 10kV local switchgear and 10kV power distribution equipment. The station adopts a new generation of energy management integrated system for energy storage power station, and is equipped with intelligent transportation and inspection equipment such as intelligent assistance and battery inspection. The online rate reaches 100%, realizing flexible power storage and optimal power allocation, and the local consumption rate of distributed generation is 100%.

. The largest all-vanadium redox flow energy storage power station under construction in China

Recently, the State Power Investment Corporation of Sichuan started the demonstration application project of Panzhihua 100MW/500MWh all-vanadium redox flow energy storage power station. This project is the largest demonstration application project of vanadium battery energy storage under construction in China at present, which is implemented by Sichuan Company of State Power Investment Corporation, with a total investment of 1.6 billion yuan and an area of 50,000 square meters. The project is planned to be implemented in two phases, with an investment of about 210 million yuan in the first phase and a construction scale of 12MW/60MWh, and an investment of about 1.39 billion yuan in the second phase and a construction scale of 88MW/440MWh.

. The world's largest demonstration project of liquid air energy storage

According to Qinghai Daily, the world's largest demonstration project of liquid air energy storage, located in the photovoltaic park at the east exit of Golmud City, Haixi Prefecture, is planned to be fully connected to the grid for power generation this year. The energy storage power of the project is 60,000 kilowatts and the energy storage capacity is 600,000 kilowatt hours. The project also includes 250,000 kilowatts of photovoltaic power generation and a 110 kV booster station. The project started construction on July 1 last year. Once completed and put into production, it will become a demonstration project with the largest power generation and energy storage scale in the field of liquid air energy storage, filling the gap of large-scale long-term energy storage technology.

. The largest optical storage project of PetroChina

On January 26th, 600,000 kW photovoltaic power generation project and 150MW/600MWh supporting energy storage system built by PetroChina Tarim Oilfield in Jiashi County, Xinjiang were successfully connected to the grid at one time. GREATE POWER Energy assisted PetroChina Cnpc JICHAI Power to complete the grid connection of 600MWh supporting energy storage project, setting a record for the largest single optical storage project in China.
