Humanoid Robot Industry Research: Taking stock of the domestic humanoid robot Zhiyuan Yuanzheng A1

Zhiyuan Robot, which debuted today, is probably the youngest robot manufacturer in this series of articles (an inventory of domestic and foreign humanoid robots, i.e. interpretation of the "Robot Industry Research" report of the Guojin Securities Research Institute). It has been less than a year since its establishment in early 2023, but its launch The expedition A1 robot should not be underestimated. Zhiyuan Robot: Launches Yuanzheng A1 humanoid robot to accelerate commercial application

 

Robot startup company, humanoid robots are developed rapidly. Zhiyuan Robot was established in February 2023. The founding team includes "Zhihui Jun" Peng Zhihui and other industry veterans, with strong technical background and industrial resources. In August 2023, Zhiyuan released the Yuanzheng A1 humanoid robot. Yuanzheng A1 is Zhiyuan's first-generation general-purpose embodied intelligent robot. The robot is 175cm tall, weighs 55kg, can walk at a speed of 7km/h, has a load capacity of 80kg, and has a maximum load of 5kg on a single arm.

In terms of hardware design : Yuanzheng A1 has a total of 49 degrees of freedom in the whole body, and is equipped with various actuators such as harmonic integrated joints, linear push rods, brushless planetary servo, and coreless motor. The robot adopts an anti-joint design in the knee design. When the knee is bent backward, it can have more space to cope with more task scenarios.

In terms of joint motors : Zhiyuan's self-developed PowerFlow joint motor uses a quasi-direct drive joint solution to achieve low cogging torque design. It is equipped with a high-torque transparent planetary reducer within 10 speed ratios, conjugated coaxial dual encoders, Integrated liquid cooling circulation cooling system and self-developed vector control driver, the peak torque exceeds 350N·M, and the weight is only 1.6KG.

The liquid cooling circulation heat dissipation system of the PowerFlow joint motor can effectively conduct the heat generated inside the motor to the external radiator through the liquid, thereby reducing the temperature and impedance of the motor, improving the efficiency and stability of the motor, so that it can operate at higher power density and operating under torque. Ø

In terms of dexterous hands: the Expedition A1's SkillHand has 12 active degrees of freedom and 5 passive degrees of freedom. All actuators are built-in and integrated with vision-based fingertip sensors that can distinguish the color, shape, and material of the operating object. In addition, SkillHand can achieve the effect of a tactile pressure sensor based on algorithm-based data fusion. At the same time, through the innovative fingertip sensor visual closed-loop design, the precision requirements for the entire motor are reduced.

In terms of language task models: Different from traditional AI technology, Zhiyuan's WorkGPT applies the huge prior knowledge base and powerful general understanding capabilities of large language and image models to achieve complex semantic multi-level reasoning capabilities.

In terms of embodied intelligence brain architecture : In the EI-Brain architecture of the embodied intelligence brain, Zhiyuan divides the robot's thinking system into a super brain deployed in the cloud, the cerebrum, cerebellum and brainstem on the device side, which respectively correspond to the robot task level, Skill level, command level and servo level abilities. The brain is responsible for abstract thinking and multi-level reasoning, the cerebellum is responsible for command generation in motor control, and the brainstem is responsible for low-level hardware tasks such as motor control and servo.

It is planned to be implemented in 2024 , with priority being applied to industrial intelligent manufacturing. The Yuanzheng A1 is planned to be commercialized in 2024. It will first be used in 3C manufacturing, automobile manufacturing and other industrial intelligent manufacturing fields, and then gradually move towards the home, assisting workers, scientific researchers and family members to complete various tasks. According to the WeChat public account of Zhiyuan Robot, Zhiyuan Robot has currently promoted docking with a number of leading manufacturing companies, applying Yuanzheng A1 to various practical scenarios, and will promote it to more fields in the future.
