In the previous episode, we reviewed the first running humanoid robot in China, the humanoid robot H1 from Unitree Technology . When Tesla just announced that it would release its humanoid robot, Xiaomi quickly released the Xiaomi humanoid robot CyberOne. What is this robot like? Today, China Overseas Semiconductor will continue to interpret the domestic humanoid robots in the "Robotics Industry Research" report for you.
Xiaomi: Launches CyberOne humanoid robot, products focus on human life services
Xiaomi Group was established in April 2010. It is a consumer electronics and intelligent manufacturing company with smartphones, smart hardware and IoT platforms as its core. In 2021, Xiaomi released the bionic quadruped robot Cyberdog, and then in August 2022, Xiaomi launched the first full-size humanoid bionic robot CyberOne at the autumn new product launch conference. So far, Xiaomi Robot Cyber family has added another member.
Features of Xiaomi’s bionic robot CyberOne include:
In terms of appearance : CyberOne is 177cm tall and weighs 52kg. The face does not adopt a realistic and exquisite facial features line, but uses a mask. The outer layer is translucent material, the inner layer is OLED and soft light special effects, and is paired with a 2D curved fit display model. Groups can express robot emotions in real time.
In terms of movement ability : CyberOne's whole body is driven by 5 types of joints, with a total of 21 degrees of freedom, and the walking speed reaches 3.6km/h. The upper limbs are equipped with Xiaomi's self-developed high-efficiency motor with 30N·m torque. The motor weighs only 500g, and the upper body is relatively flexible. The instantaneous peak torque of the main motor of the hip joint can reach 300N·m. With the self-developed humanoid bipedal control algorithm, the lower body walks more smoothly. In addition, CyberOne can vertically grasp objects weighing up to 1.5kg with one hand.
Sensors : CyberOne obtains external information from hearing and vision. CyberOne is equipped with Xiaomi's self-developed Mi-Sense depth vision module, which can perceive external environments such as faces and body movements and reconstruct the real world in three dimensions. At the same time, CyberOne can perceive 45 kinds of human semantic emotions in 6 categories through natural language processing algorithms, distinguish 85 kinds of environmental semantics, and can judge human mood from the tone of speaking. Taken together, the CyberOne humanoid robot has outstanding movement speed, gripping power, interaction capabilities and environmental semantic recognition capabilities. CyberOne focuses more on facing/serving humans themselves.

Back then, as soon as Tesla announced that it would release its humanoid robot, Xiaomi took advantage of the wave of enthusiasm and quickly released the Xiaomi humanoid robot CyberOne, which also attracted a lot of attention. Judging from the performance data alone, the data of Xiaomi humanoid robot CyberOne is not outstanding, and its unit price is as high as 700,000. It may still have a long way to go before mass production and launch.
Some people in the industry speculate that Xiaomi's release of this product is actually paving the way for its Xiaomi automobile industry to test the waters. After all, all the technologies exposed by CyberOne can be applied to cars. No matter what, Xiaomi's emergence in the humanoid robot industry will definitely stimulate the entire industry. On the one hand, Xiaomi is based on cost-effectiveness, and "high cost-effectiveness" is its goal. We have reason to look forward to its next-generation products. On the other hand, this in itself is also a signal that more and more “big players” are pouring into the field of humanoid robots.
In the next issue, China Overseas Semiconductor's "Robot Industry Research" report will bring iFlytek's humanoid robot products to the next stop , so stay tuned.
