In the first part, we briefly introduced the background of AIEV development, the concept of AIEV, and the driving factors of the development of AIEV industry. Next, we will introduce the current status of AIEV technology and analyze trends. According to the research data of EO Intelligence, 99% of users have a certain understanding of AI technology on the car, and most users learn about AIEV technology through online channels such as WeChat official account. Among them, 47% of users have had the experience of being equipped with or experienced AI technology in a car. The survey shows that more than eighty percent of new energy vehicle owners often use or have tried on-board AI technology, and more than half of new energy vehicle owners often use on-board AI technology. Among these users, more than 70% believe that AI technology will have a positive impact on the driving experience.
Current status of AIEV technology
According to EO Intelligence, China's intelligent vehicle industry is forming a new ecosystem around AI technology, with AI solutions at the core of the ecosystem, supported by related parts such as basic software, hardware, intelligent networking, and vehicle cloud. From the perspective of automotive products, the process of AI in the driving domain, cockpit domain, and vehicle cloud is relatively faster, and productized AI applications have appeared in the fields of autonomous driving, intelligent cockpit, and vehicle cloud. There is also the possibility of deepening the application in other fields.

Judging from the current situation, the development of AI in various domains will be more balanced in the future, because there are relatively few AI applications in the territory, body, and power domains, and the development of these sectors will also be very rapid, and it is expected to form a more balanced global AI ecosystem. According to the function of automotive electronic components, the vehicle can be divided into five domains: information domain, body domain, powertrain domain, chassis domain, and assisted/autonomous driving domain. With the gradual introduction of AI technology, the AI domain is expected to be formed on the basis of the five-domain ecology, and EO Intelligence predicts that the emergence of the AI domain will change the ecosystem and form a new ecology of unified control of the whole domain.
According to the roadmap divided by EO Intelligence, the prototype of the AI ecosystem with soft solution solutions as the core will be basically formed from 2023 to 2024. The development of AI in autonomous driving, intelligent cockpit, and vehicle cloud is relatively faster, accounting for a relatively larger proportion of the ecosystem, while the degree of AI in the chassis, body, and power domains is relatively low, and the AI software and hardware ecology is relatively vague. By 2025-2027, the ecosystem with software-defined vehicle solutions as the core will continue to expand, the AI in all domains will develop in a balanced manner, the AI level in the body, chassis, and power domains will be significantly improved, and the AI in the five domains of the automobile will enter a balanced development stage. From 2028 to 2030, the ecosystem with software-defined vehicle solutions as the core will continue to expand, forming the sixth domain on the basis of the five domains - the AI domain. The AI domain can unify the large models of each domain, realize the coordination and control of each domain through unified control and supervision, and connect the overall intelligent functions of the car. Due to the new AI domain, the software and hardware ecosystems have changed, and the AI domain-related ecosystems will appear in the software and hardware systems, making the AIEV ecosystem more complete.
With the maturity of AI technology, the autonomous driving ecosystem will be more comprehensive.
