Dukosis Battery System Optimization Cell Monitoring Chipset is Now Available for Volume Production

Dukosi Ltd, a technology company dedicated to revolutionizing the performance, safety and sustainability of battery systems, announced that its Dukosi Cell Monitoring System (DKCMS) is now ready for mass production. DKCMS Core hardware has undergone extensive qualification testing and is AEC-Q100 qualified to meet the stringent requirements and lifetime expectations of electric vehicles (EVs) and stationary battery energy storage systems (BESS).

DKCMS is a unique set of contactless battery cell monitoring solutions, including DK8102-AQ-25 Cell Monitor chip, DK8202-AR-25 System Hub chip, Dukosi API and C-SynQ®. The Cell Monitor installed on each cell provides precise monitoring of critical operating parameters such as voltage and temperature, as well as the necessary cell balancing functions and diagnostics. The System Hub manages the bidirectional data transfer between all Cell Monitors and BMS hosts, using Dukosi's proprietary C-SynQ® via a single bus antenna. C-SynQ® provides highly secure, extremely robust, and reliable communications with predictable latency and synchronization of all Cell Monitor measurements for optimal battery pack performance.

DKCMS's on-cell monitoring and non-volatile embedded memory also provide lifetime traceability, enabling customers' products to be ready for upcoming regulations such as the EU Battery Passport. Dukosi's innovative contactless solution overcomes the limitations of traditional wired and far-field wireless systems, freeing up physical design constraints and providing greater security, design flexibility, and scalability.

The demand for Dukosi's solutions is huge and growing rapidly. In a typical battery, each cell has a Dukosi Cell Monitor, and according to published EV and BESS sales forecasts, there will be an opportunity for 20 billion ICs in 2025, which is an annual growth of 14.8% over the next decade. Mark Pinto, CEO of Dukosi, said: "This is a very exciting time for Dukosi as we launch our first DKCMS chip into production, bringing true intelligence to every single monolith. We have been investing in all of our global locations to expand our talent and reach to better serve our expanding global market opportunities. We have multiple customers and partners designing DKCMS into their next-generation battery and BMS designs, which highlights our shared philosophy of technological innovation and success through collaboration.”

This advancement by Dukosi marks an important milestone in battery management system (BMS) technology, heralding a more intelligent, efficient and secure future of battery monitoring and management systems. With the rapid development of electric vehicles and renewable energy storage systems, Dukosi's technology is expected to be widely used worldwide.
