At the Sensor Application Conference, the day before yesterday (January 10, 2023), Mr. BW TAN, General Manager of Asia-Pacific Market of Sensor Division of TE Connectivity Company, and Ms. Zheng Tingting, Head of Asia-Pacific Marketing of Sensor Division of TE Company, introduced the company and its main sensor types respectively at the Sensor and Industrial Internet Sub-forum yesterday (January 11, 2023).

Speaking of it, Guge and TE Company have some historical origins. The full name of TE is TYCO Electronic, the Chinese name of 泰科电子. In America, the earliest TYCO International was a big financial company. At the beginning of this century, TYCO International acquired SIEMENS Relay Department, and American AMP Company (AMP, the largest connector company in the world) and American RAYCHEM (Automatic Recovery Fuse) Company became independent, and formed TYCO Electronics, which was re-listed on NASDAQ in the United States. At that time, Xi'an CHINASTAR Measurement and Control Company was the northwest agent of American RAYCHEM (self-recovering fuse). Due to the interdependence of connectors and sensors in the industrial chain, TE acquired American MEAS (MSI) Company, whose Asian headquarters is located in Nanshan District, Shenzhen. Prior to TE acquisition of Precision, Precision had acquired more than a dozen technologically leading small sensor companies worldwide in different categories. After the acquisition of Precision Company, TE Company continued to increase its acquisition, and has acquired nearly 30 different types of sensor companies all over the world so far. In Guge's opinion, TE Company should be the company with the most kinds of sensors in the world at present, which should exceed the types of sensors of Hornier Company in the United States more than ten years ago.

In fiscal year 2022, the number of sensors produced was 236 billion, and the revenue in fiscal year was 16.3 billion US dollars, of which 35% of the sales came from Chinese mainland, that is, 5.7 billion US dollars, about 41 billion yuan. And what is the total number of sensor companies in our country? People think it is an American company, but in fact it is a Swiss company and listed in the United States. According to Ms. Zheng's introduction, the typical representatives of TE's main industrial sensors are as follows.
In the field of HVAC, there are mainly temperature sensors, pressure sensors, micro-differential pressure sensors, linear displacement sensors and humidity sensors, among which temperature and pressure sensors are used in large quantities.

High-speed rail is a national business card of China. The sensors on high-speed rail include speed sensor and braking system pressure sensor. Anti-electromagnetic interference and vibration index are one of the important indexes of high-speed rail sensors, because safety is the most important index.

With the development of hydrogen energy, the production, transportation, storage and use of hydrogen energy have strict requirements for pressure sensors, especially the phenomenon of "hydrogen embrittlement" in houses. Many domestic pressure transducer manufacturers use gold plating to prevent hydrogen embrittlement. I wonder how effective it is?!

Robots have developed widely, and there are great differences between industrial robots and service robots. The safety torque sensor of industrial robot is a unique sensor, which has high technical difficulty and high safety requirements.

The rapid development of energy storage industry involves the safety of electrochemical energy storage. For the safety of large-scale energy storage batteries, timely measurement of its temperature, pressure and liquid level has become the first choice of sensors, since it is necessary to be safe, the reliability of the sensor must be guaranteed.

Sensors of range from basic wafer chips to sensor assemblies and solutions. Different kinds of sensors from nearly 30 countries around the world can solve the sensor scheme problems in many industrial fields.
