Ⅰ Company Overview
Founded in 2016 and located in Fangshan Doudian, Beijing, Beijing WeLion New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. is a solid-state battery industry-university-research incubator of the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, mainly engaged in solid-state lithium-ion batteries, integrating R&D, production, marketing and sales.
The company was co-founded by Chen Liquan, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Li Hong, researcher of the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Yu Huigen, a professor-level senior engineer, bringing together high-end talents in the fields of battery materials, battery cells, and systems.
Ⅱ Technical Capabilities & Products
WeLion New Energy has the largest technology research and development team in the industry, and its scientific research capabilities are comprehensively leading. The company has more than 400 related invention patents, covering core materials and technologies such as solid-state battery composite cathode, solid-state electrolyte, separator and anode, forming a complete intellectual property system.
WeLion New Energy's product applications cover many fields such as new energy vehicles, energy storage, and low-altitude economy; Among them, typical battery cell products are:
1. 360Wh/kg high-energy-density power cell: With ultra-high energy density and a single cruising range of more than 1,000km, it has been mass-produced and delivered to NIO at the end of 2023 and has been designated by many well-known OEMs.
2. 280Ah ultra-high safety energy storage cells: It has been mass-produced and delivered in the second half of 2023, supplying many energy storage projects such as Three Gorges, HyperStrong, and State Power Investment.
3. 320Wh/kg high energy density low-altitude economic power cell: At present, it has been supplied to many domestic and foreign customers such as drones, robots, and portable power supplies.
In addition, WeLion New Energy has a layout in Beijing, Liyang, Huzhou, Zibo, Shaoxing and Shenzhen, and WeLion New Energy has performed well in global services and supply chains.

Veco Cup· OFweek 2024 Power Battery Materials Excellent Brand
With its technical advantages in the field of solid-state battery materials, WeLion New Energy won the "Weike Cup· OFweek 2024 Power Battery Materials Outstanding Brand" award. This award recognizes WeLion New Energy's outstanding performance in the development of nano-oxide electrolyte slurries.
First Prize of Technology Innovation Award of China Energy Research Society
The scientific and technological achievements of "Key Technologies and Applications of Intrinsically Safe and Long-life Solid-State Lithium-ion Energy Storage Batteries" jointly declared by WeLion New Energy and the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and other units won the first prize of 2023 Technology Innovation Award of the China Energy Research Society.
Beijing specialized, special and new "little giant" enterprise
WeLion New Energy was selected into the list of the second batch of specialized and new "little giant" enterprises in Beijing in 2021, reflecting its technological advancement and innovation ability in the field of solid-state batteries.

CNAS Laboratory Accreditation Certificate
WeLion New Energy Laboratory has passed the assessment of China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) and obtained the laboratory accreditation certificate, indicating that its technical level and testing ability in the fields of material system innovation testing, battery technology systematic testing and system dynamic safety testing have been authoritatively recognized.
