Smart Driving Aids Push Brands into Pole Position

Analysts point out that intelligent driving features have become the standard in China's new energy vehicle market, especially as these brands strive to transform into the high-end market. According to data from the China Passenger Car Market Information Association, in the first two months of this year, more than 62% of sales of electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid vehicles and range extenders were equipped with advanced driver assistance systems as standard.

Qiao Erying, an analyst in the automotive and parts, technology and telecommunications industries at Nomura Securities, emphasized that intelligent driving functions are increasingly becoming a major selling point for high-end cars. "We have observed that in the Chinese market, if the price of new energy vehicles exceeds 200,000 yuan (about 27,708 US dollars) and is not equipped with intelligent driving functions, then its sales will be seriously affected," he said.

Qiao Erying further explained: "Regardless of whether the intelligent driving technology is fully mature, or how it actually performs, car manufacturers first need to ensure that the vehicle has such capabilities. "This shows that intelligent driving functions are not only an iconic feature of high-end cars, but also a key element to meet consumer expectations and market trends.

First, technological innovation leads the development of the industry

The core of intelligent driving assistance technology lies in technological innovation. Brands such as NIO, Xpeng and Li have increased R&D investment to improve the perception, decision-making and execution capabilities of autonomous driving systems. NIO's NAD system, combined with multiple sensors such as lidar, high-definition cameras, and millimeter-wave radar, has achieved all-round perception of the vehicle's surroundings. Xpeng has launched the XNGP system, which realizes autonomous driving without relying on maps, further improving the flexibility and safety of driving. Li Auto, on the other hand, has introduced a large BEV model and an occupancy network through the AD Max 3.0 platform, which improves the accuracy of route calculation and driving comfort.

As a giant in the ICT field, Huawei has also entered the field of intelligent driving with its strong technical strength. Huawei has worked with a number of car companies to jointly develop models with highly autonomous driving capabilities, and its ADS intelligent driving system is an industry leader in terms of coverage and adaptability. These technological innovations not only improve the performance and safety of vehicles, but also bring consumers a more convenient and comfortable driving experience.

Second, pay equal attention to market application and user experience

The market application of intelligent driving assistance technology is the key to its success. Brands such as NIO, XPeng, Li and Huawei have applied intelligent driving assistance technologies to their models, and have continuously optimized and improved their systems through marketing and user experience feedback. By providing a wealth of intelligent driving features, such as automatic parking, adaptive cruise, lane keeping, etc., these brands greatly reduce the burden on drivers and improve the convenience and safety of driving.

At the same time, these brands are also focused on improving the user experience. They make it easier for drivers to control and use intelligent driver assistance systems by optimizing human-machine interfaces, improving voice recognition accuracy, and adding personalized settings. This user-centered design concept not only enhances the brand image and market competitiveness, but also wins wide recognition and praise from consumers.

Third, the brand influence and market share grow simultaneously

With the continuous popularization of intelligent driving assistance technology and the improvement of consumer awareness, the market influence of brands such as NIO, Xpeng, Li and Huawei is also expanding. Through continuous technological innovation and market application, they have successfully attracted more consumers' attention and purchases. The leading position of these brands in the field of intelligent driving not only enhances their brand value and market competitiveness, but also wins them more market share and profits.

In addition, these brands have further expanded their business scope and market space through cooperation with other fields and cross-border innovation. For example, NIO has partnered with technology companies such as Tencent to develop in-car entertainment systems; Xpeng and Xpeng Huitian cooperated to explore the field of flying cars; Ideal works with partners such as Huawei to promote the development of intelligent networked vehicles. These collaborations not only bring new growth points and development opportunities for the brand, but also inject new impetus into the transformation and upgrading of the entire automotive industry.
